The word is good!

WORD FROM THE STABLES:

The first crop of Zacinto are rising two-year-olds and trainers and breakers are buzzing about them! Here's some feedback from a few people that think they might have a pre-Christmas Zacinto two-year-old on their hands.

DAVID ELLIS

Zacinto - Miss Avalon colt (purchased at Karaka for $100,000)

Zavistic is a beautiful colt. He broke in very stylishly, has a terrific action and good attitude - everybody who rode him is very taken with him. After being broken in we sent him into the stable for four weeks of further education and we then gave him four weeks in the paddock at Te Akau. He is now back in the stable and should be ready to trial in August /September. We have nominated him for the Karaka Million.

BRUCE PERRY

Zacinto - Bequests colt (Purchased at Karaka for $50,000)

We're absolutely rapt with him, he's a beautiful mover and is doing everything right. Our breaker loved him and he's just had a week with trainer Stephen Marsh who was very complimentary about him. We won't push him too much, but he's nominated for the Karaka Million, so all going well that will be the aim.

CHRIS WOOD

Zacinto - Terri O'Reilly colt (Purchased at Karaka for $33,000)

I really like the horse, I'm very happy with him. He broke in really well and after a bit of a break he's just come back into the stable. He's a lovely racey type and I've nominated him for the Karaka Million.

NICK WIGLEY

Zacinto - Dolly's Wig filly (bred and retained by Inglewood Stud) I'm really taken with this filly. She's beautifully put together and just has so much quality. She moves very stylishly and comes from a precocious Australian speed family so we have high hopes for her performing early. I haven't been this excited about a filly for a long time. We've broken-in five Zacintos and all five have taken to it like ducks to water. We think we're onto something a little bit special with Zacinto.

WORD FROM ZACINTO'S OWNERS:

KEVIN HICKMAN

Valachi Downs

I think Zacinto is the next Volksraad. He had a massive amount of ability on the racetrack, and has a blue-blooded pedigree to match. He's left some lovely types from the mares we've sent to him and I'll be sending another nine mares to him this season.

ROD SCHICK

Windsor Park Stud

Zacinto is a beautifully credentialed horse. We have a number of his progeny on the farm now and we're impressed with their great muscle, bone and attitudes. We'll be sending down 8-10 mares to him this season, our most so far. He's a great chance to make a stallion.

GUS WIGLEY

Inglewood Stud

The feedback we've had on Zacinto's progeny from breakers, trainers, buyers and breeders has been fantastic - there's a real buzz around about his stock and it's hard not to get excited.
